Josh Taylor is a 2nd degree Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt and Head Coach whose approach to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is firmly grounded in real-world application. As an active law enforcement officer and trainer, Josh has firsthand experience using jiu jitsu in the field, where control, composure, and sound decision-making matter most.
His coaching emphasizes strong fundamentals, positional control, and techniques that hold up under pressure, not just in sport, but in real-life encounters. Josh regularly trains law enforcement professionals, teaching practical grappling skills designed to help officers manage resistance, maintain safety, and resolve situations effectively without unnecessary force.
Known for his hands-on, detail-oriented teaching style, Josh adapts instruction to fit each student’s goals, whether for competition, self-defense, or recreational training.
